Lupe Cortes - Communications Co-Chair

Lupe serves as co-chair of the Communications Commission on the Parish Pastoral Council.

Lupe's responsibilities include seeking ways to improve communication from the Pastor to the laity and from the laity to the Pastor.

In addition, communication efforts extend beyond our parish to our community to reach inactive Catholics and those without a church home. Areas that Lupe oversees that enhance communication include: website, monthly newsletter, Spanish radio promotion, photography, public relations, press releases, advertising, and archivist.

Lupe was born in Mexico and came to the states at age 7. She lived in California 11 years and in 1996 moved to Philadelphia, Tennessee. She graduated from Hiwassee College in Madisonville, TN and a year later, married Roberto Cortes. She and Roberto have been married 10 years and have no children. Lupe also serves on the Parish Pastoral Council as Co-Chair of Communications, and is very involved with the Junta Pastoral (Hispanic Pastoral Council).
