Tony Cirone

Tony Cirone   -   Social Action & Social Justice Co-Chair

Tony serves as co-chair of the Social Action & Social Justice Commission on the Parish Pastoral Council.

Tony works to identify the human needs of the parish and community and to create and support programs to meet those needs. The goals of this commission are to educate parishioners about peace and justice issues and social teachings of the Church; to empower people to take action on the issues that affect their own lives; to join with other churches, organizations, and programs to promote and strengthen action for peace, justice and charitable works; to cooperate with groups that are advocating for the people who are hurting, or for change in public policy that positively affects the lives of people.

Tony and his wife Cathy moved to Tellico Village in 2007.  They have three sons and four grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Albany.

Tony retired after a 40 year career as a real estate broker/owner in the Chicago area. While living in Mt. Prospect, IL, he was active in many community and church activities as a member of the Finance Committee of St. Thomas Becket Parish,  many years as a Trustee of School District 26 Education Foundation, and President of several Homeowners Associations. He is presently a member of the St. Thomas Men’s Choir and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

He enjoys senior softball, fishing, boating and photography.
