Rosalie's Helping Hands – 865-382-2162-Ensuring the Best Start for Mothers and Babies

Rosalie's Helping Hands ministry helps any pregnant woman or family with children 2 years of age or younger.  Material support is offered with diapers and wipes which are generously donated by St. Thomas the Apostle parishioners through the monthly food and diaper drive.  Additional items for babies and toddlers are provided through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.  Emotional and spiritual support is provided through home visits and phone conversations.  Educational support is offered through the “Earn While You Learn” program conducted by the Catholic Charities Pregnancy Help Center. The Pregnancy Help Center provides a 24 hour help line, free pregnancy testing, material assistance, personal support, non-judgmental and caring advice, medical, legal and community referrals and adoption information and services.

Objective is to build a culture that cherishes and protects every human life.  It provides information, prayers, resources, materials, and opportunities to join respect life prayer and action activities.

Mission is to facilitate a process through which Catholic parishes and communities “walk in the shoes of” local pregnant and parenting women in need.  Monthly newsletters, prayers and subscription services are provided.

Provides accurate information and educational resources regarding the life issues of abortion, infanticide and euthanasia, as well as promoting assistance to women and families facing unexpected pregnancies and those recovering from abortions.  Activities included education, legislation and grassroots activism.
